Outside
I love to travel and always take my camera. It could be a bird upside down on a feeder, or a cat curled up on a log that may catch my eye.
Animals have always enchanted me. When we were young, my sister and I would be at my grandmother's house in Alabama, and the "clip, clop" sound of horse's hooves on the street would cause us to run outside to see the horses. It would make our day. Sighting a California quail running down the path with her babies, or a magpie, a bird I never got to see on the West Coast, for me, it gets no better than this. It's like a haiku, a snapshot of a moment — a moment that takes your breath away. Click to see larger images:
